Do I need to have any programming experience? Do I need to have any programming experience? No. EZChurch Site Builder™ is designed for people with little or no computer experience. The interface is right from your internet browser and the EZAdmin control panel™ will help you through all of the steps required to set up and update your site. If you can open a web browser, surf the internet, and find your favorite sites you will be able to use the EZChurch Site Builder™. What kind of system does EZChurch Site Builder™ require? You can operate the EZChurch Site Builder™ on any computer connected to the Internet. EZChurch Site Builder™ is compatible with all the latest web browsers and is easy to use. Can our missionaries update their own information? Yes. You can assign a user password and login to any staff member, missionary or volunteer. You can also limit the areas that the user can access. Can we use our own design? With the EZChurch Site Builder™, you are limited to the available web designs. However, we will be happy to create a custom design for your church at no additional cost. You will still be able to access all the same tools to update your site easily and quickly. What happens if we don't have any content? Many of the sections come with pre-written content that you can adapt to your church’s needs. Can we create a unique site for our youth or other groups? Yes. You can order as many additional websites as you would like and then link them to one another using the EZChurch Site Builder™. (Multiple websites ordered for an organization may qualify for a discounted rate. Please contact our sales department prior to ordering additional websites to see if your order qualifies for a discount) How long does it take to "go live"? Generally speaking you can have a completed website up and running with content in a day. You can even build your website with our online demo before you order. Once your order is completed, we will assign your demo settings to your actual website. Typically, your website will be available for you to edit the same day that you place the order. Can I use my existing domain name? Yes. If you would like to continue to use your existing domain name, we will send you the information to update your registrar information. You may also transfer your domain name to our Shepherdsland.com servers and receive free domain name registration renewals each year for your domain name. This process normally takes up to 48 hours to take full effect. Can I register my own domain name? Yes. You can register any domain name you wish on our site and it will automatically route to our servers, this is included free of charge with either the EZChurch Site Builder™ or standard hosting packages. How often is EZChurch Site Builder™ updated? Shepherdsland.com is committed to improving the EZChurch Site Builder™ and has a design team continually updating and implementing new features into the software. We enjoy receiving feedback from our clients and work diligently on meeting all of our clients’ needs. You can expect new software enhancements frequently and all upgrades are free. This is the equivalent of having multiple people working on improving your website full time at your church. Is my content secure? All of the content in our databases is backed up regularly. We believe strongly in protecting our users and their content and have worked hard at making the content as secure as possible. How long does it take for my changes or updates to take effect? Immediately. As soon as you select the “save changes” button in your EZAdmin control panel™, the new content is live to the web. Do I need any design skills? No, the EZAdmin control panel™ walks you through each step. All of our web designs can be maintained and updated by you or your staff with little to no computer skills, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Can I create recurring events? Yes. You can create recurring events simply by selecting that category in your control panel. Recurring events will automatically appear on our dynamic calendar system. What kind of skills does setting up and maintaining EZChurch Site Builder™ require? Only basic computer skills are required to set up and maintain an EZChurch Site Builder™ website. If you can use a browser, a keyboard and a mouse you're set. How long does it take to get my EZChurch™ website up and running? Typically the same day that the order is placed. We'll get your domain name (e.g., yourchurch.org), setup the hosting for your new website, and get your password and user name set up. Then, depending on how much information you have to enter, your Website should only take a matter of hours. Can we use our own photos? Certainly, uploading your own pictures, images and logos is recommended to personalize your church website and is very simple to do with EZChurch Site Builder™. Is there a deadline on uploading pages or pictures? There is no deadline. You can maintain your website 24/7 and make changes and updates as often as you want. Is any training required to use the EZChurch Site Builder™? No training is required. It's very intuitive, but we do include online help within the site builder. We're also available to field any questions you may have whenever you have them. What will be my web address? You select your choice of web address (e.g. domain name) such as www.yourchurch.org. Do I get e-mail with my website? Yes, email addresses are provided with most EZChurch™ website packages. What if I already have a domain name? That's fine, you can simply point it to our server. We will step you through the process if you have any questions. Is there a cost to change to a different web design? No, we provide many different web designs for you to select from and change as often as you like. How do I get my web hosting set up and how much does it cost? We set everything up for you, and it is all included in the monthly webhosting package that you order. You will just need to select a domain name and the website package that you prefer. We will set up your website and provide you with a login to begin updating your new church website. How do I get started?
